Terms and Conditions of Sale: Limited Edition “In Katie’s Corner” Boxing Shorts

1. Introduction

These terms and conditions govern the sale of the limited edition "In Katie’s Corner" boxing shorts (the "Product") purchased through our website www.lidl.ie. By placing an order online, you agree to be bound by these terms. This promotion runs from 28th August 2026 to 5th September 2026.

2. Who Your Contract is With

Your contract is with Lidl Ireland GmbH, Main Road, Tallaght, Dublin 24 ("we", "us", "our").

3. How the Contract is Formed Between You and Us

  • The display of the Product on our website constitutes an invitation to treat only and does not constitute a legal offer to sell.
  • When you complete the online checkout process and click "Pay Now" (or equivalent), you are making a binding legal offer to purchase the Product under these terms and conditions.
  • Upon placing your order, you will receive an automated email acknowledging receipt of your order details. This email is an acknowledgement of receipt only and does not constitute acceptance of your offer.
  • A legally binding contract between Lidl Ireland GmbH and you is formed only when we send you an explicit Confirmation email confirming that the Product has been dispatched to your designated delivery address.
  • Prior to sending the Confirmation, we reserve the right to reject your offer for any reason, including but not limited to:
    • The Product being out of stock or oversubscribed beyond the 120-unit allocation due to website or system latency.
    • Inability to obtain payment authorization or detection of fraudulent transactions.
    • An error in the advertised price or Product description.
  • If we reject your order after payment has been processed, we will notify you by email and issue a full refund to your original payment method as soon as possible. No contract will have been formed, and we will have no further liability to you.

4. The Product and Limited Availability

  • The Product is a limited edition boxing short. While we make every effort to display colours accurately on our website, we cannot guarantee that a device's display accurately reflects the exact colour of the goods.
  • All prices displayed on the website are inclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT) at the current Irish rate.
  • Due to the strict 120-unit limit, we cannot offer size exchanges or replacement items under any circumstances.

5. Price and Payment

  • All prices are quoted in Euros (€) and are inclusive of Irish Value Added Tax (VAT) at the applicable rate.
  • Product prices exclude delivery charges unless expressly stated otherwise. Any applicable delivery charges will be clearly displayed during the online checkout process before you submit your payment.
  • Payment in full must be made at the time of placing your order using an accepted payment method. Your payment method will be charged immediately upon placing the order; however, this charge does not constitute acceptance of your offer to purchase (see Section 3).
  • We make every effort to ensure that advertised pricing on our website is correct. However, if we discover an obvious pricing error prior to dispatching your order:
    • We are under no obligation to supply the Product to you at the incorrect (lower) price.
    • We will notify you as soon as possible and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel your order.
    • If we cannot reach you, or if you choose to cancel, we will reject the order and issue a full refund to your original payment method.

6. Delivery

  • Delivery is restricted strictly to valid physical addresses within the Republic of Ireland. We do not deliver to PO Boxes or addresses outside Ireland.
  • Delivery timescales provided at checkout are estimates only.
  • Title and risk of loss or damage to the Product pass to you once the Product is physically delivered to your designated address (or a third party identified by you to accept delivery).
  • If supply is delayed by an event outside our reasonable control (e.g., postal or logistics disruptions), we will contact you as soon as possible. If a delay exceeds 30 days from order confirmation, you may email pr@lidl.ie to cancel your order and receive a full refund.

7. Right to Cancel (Distance Selling Cooling-Off Period)

  • Under the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days from the date you (or a third party designated by you) physically receive the Product, without giving any reason.
  • To cancel, you must notify us before the 14-day window expires by emailing pr@lidl.ie with your name, address, and order reference number (or by returning a completed copy of Schedule 1).
  • You must post the Product within 14 days of notifying us of your cancellation. The Product must be unworn, unwashed, undamaged, with original tags attached and in its original packaging. The Product cannot be returned to any physical Lidl retail store.
  • You must bear the direct cost of returning the Product for a change-of-mind cancellation. We recommend using a tracked postal service.
  • We will refund the purchase price and standard delivery fee within 14 days of receiving the returned Product (or proof of return postage). Refunds will be made using your original payment method. We reserve the right to reduce the refund amount if the value of the Product has been diminished through handling beyond what is necessary to establish its nature and characteristics.
  • Your statutory rights under Irish law remain unaffected by this section.

8. Defective Goods and Legal Remedies

  • Under the Consumer Rights Act 2022, goods supplied must be as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality.
  • If the Product arrives damaged, defective, or misdescribed, contact pr@lidl.ie immediately with photo evidence and order details.
  • Because total stock of the Product is strictly capped at 120 units, we are unable to provide replacements or size exchanges under any circumstances.
  • If a defect or non-conformity is verified upon inspection, your remedy will be a full refund of the purchase price and delivery charges, or a repair where feasible and agreed in writing.
  • All other statutory rights remain unaffected.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any statutory rights under Irish law that cannot be lawfully excluded or limited.
  • We are not liable for:
    • Any business losses (e.g., resale, loss of profits, trade, or business interruption), as the Product is sold strictly for private consumer use.
    • Losses that were unforeseeable to both parties at the time the contract was formed.
    • Losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.

For customers resident in Northern Ireland, your contract is subject to the mandatory statutory consumer rights under Northern Irish/UK law (including the Consumer Rights Act 2015), and nothing in these terms restricts those statutory rights.

10. Data Protection

  • We process your personal data (including your name, delivery address, email address, phone number, and payment details) in accordance with the Data Protection Acts 1988–2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Processing is necessary for the performance of our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and will be managed internally by our PR team to fulfill and deliver your order.
  • Personal data collected via the online checkout may be hosted or processed on our behalf by our third-party website, hosting, or e-commerce technology providers strictly pursuant to Article 28 GDPR data processing agreements.
